EmpowerHer was founded by a high school student Esha Rai who believes that confidence and encouragement can change the direction of a girl’s future. In her own words:

Growing up, I was fortunate to have access to education, supportive teachers, and opportunities to explore my interests. But I began to notice that not every girl has the same support system or resources. Some students struggle to access basic school supplies, academic help, or role models who inspire them to believe in their potential.

I realized that sometimes what girls need most is simple but powerful — encouragement, guidance, and the right tools to succeed.

This realization inspired me to start EmpowerHer.

EmpowerHer began with a simple idea: create a supportive space where girls feel encouraged to learn, stay in school, and dream bigger. What started as a small initiative has grown into a mission to provide free workshops, school supply kits, mentorship, and inspiring resources that highlight real women who have made a difference.

I believe that when girls see examples of women who have achieved great things, they begin to believe they can do the same. When they receive support and encouragement, their confidence grows. And when their confidence grows, their possibilities become endless.

My goal is to continue growing EmpowerHer so that more girls can access opportunities, feel supported in their education, and believe in their ability to succeed.

Every girl deserves the chance to learn, grow, and feel empowered.
